Minimum Wages for Workers-Employees in Textile, Garment, Footwear, Travel Goods, and Bag Sectors for 2025

On 20 September 2024, the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training (“MLVT”) issued a Prakas No. 211/24, addressing Minimum Wages for Workers-Employees in Textile, Garment, Footwear, Travel Goods, and Bag Sectors for 2025 (the “Prakas”).

According to the Prakas, effective 1 January 2025, the minimum wage of workers-employees in the textile, garment, footwear, travel goods, and bag sectors is determined as follows:

  • USD 206 (two hundred and six) per month during probationary period; and
  • USD 208 (two hundred and eight) per month after completion of probationary period.

Workers who are paid based on product quantity will receive wages that reflect their actual​ outputs. If their earnings exceed the minimum wage, they will receive wage based on the exceed actual amount. However, if their earnings fall below the minimum, they will receive USD 206 per month during their probation period and USD 208 per month after completing probation.

Other benefits previously received by the workers-employees shall remain unchanged.
