On 26 March 2026, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (“MLVT”) issued Notification No. 013/26 on the Temporary Additional Allowance for Transportation and Accommodation for Workers in the Textile, Garment, Footwear, and Travel Goods and Bag Sectors During the Global Fuel Crisis
(“Notification”).

Pursuant to the Notification, and following the outcome of the meeting of the National Council on Minimum Wage held on 20 March 2026, employers in the textile, garment, footwear, and travel goods and bag sectors are required to temporarily provide an additional allowance of USD 2.50 (two US dollars and fifty cents) per month, on top of the existing transportation and accommodation allowances currently in place. This measure shall take effect from 1 April 2026 and remain applicable until further determination is made.
